Metro&Maps Roma does not requires an internet connection.

Metro&Maps Roma is a browsing software dedicated to the city of Rome. Uniquely conceived for a pedestrian purpose, Metro&Maps Roma allows you to quickly and comfortably get your destination.

How does it works?

The starting point of your route is calculated through the Iphone Geo Tagging or manually inserting the street name where you are located in that moment. It is sufficient to write just part of the name, e.g  if you want  to get “Piazza Colosseo” it will be enough to digit “Colosseo”, and the system itself will provide you with the list of all possible streets where the word “Colosseo” is included.
The same operation must be performed for the destination point so that the route can be completed. At this point Metro&Maps Roma will calculate any possible Metro Station close either to your starting point or destination and, if any Station is found, it will guide you to the closest one. It will then calculate the path (this procedure can be selected at any time) of all the stops and possible changes to your exit Metro Station and once you got the exit, it will keep guiding you till the original chosen destination.
On the other hand, when no Metro Station is located in the proximity, Metro&Maps Roma will switch to “Browsing” mode.

Browsing System

Metro&Maps Roma is conceived uniquely for a pedestrian use and its browsing system is extremely intuitive and simple to use.You’ll be guided through a compass that will show you the direction to follow and the missing distance. Your position is highlighted with an icon that will follow in real time your motion on the map, this solution allows you to check at any moment where you are located. To get the destination it’s enough to follow the compass indications while enjoying Rome wonders.

With next Release it will be possible to:

• save routes;
• choose the best Rome touristic routes;
• select a list of the most important interest points like monuments, museums, churches ...;
• to select the option “Find Metro”, that will allows you to get the closest metro station, with no costraint to link it to a possible route.
